Digital Literacy & Education

Bridging the Digital Divide & Empowering Refugees Through Technology
In today’s world, digital skills are essential for education, employment, and social connection. However, many refugees lack access to computers, the internet, and digital education, making it difficult to continue learning, apply for jobs, or even communicate with loved ones.
At The Refugee Voice, we believe that digital inclusion is a human right. Our Digital Literacy & Education Program provides technology training, online learning opportunities, and access to digital tools so that refugees can gain 21st-century skills and improve their future prospects.
Technology opens doors. We make sure refugees can step through them.

Why Digital Literacy Matters for Refugees
Refugees face significant barriers to digital education and technology access.
Key Challenges:
✔ Limited Access to Devices & Internet – Many refugee communities have no computers or reliable internet.
✔ Lack of Digital Skills – Many refugees have never used a computer, making it hard to apply for jobs or study online.
✔ Barriers to Online Education – Without digital literacy, refugees struggle to access scholarships, remote learning, and job opportunities.
✔ Exclusion from the Global Digital Economy – Many modern jobs require basic to advanced computer skills, leaving refugees at a disadvantage.
Digital literacy is not just about using technology—it’s about unlocking education, job opportunities, and social inclusion.
